PROPERTY TAX JUSTICE FOUNDATION

Educate • Empower • Impact

OUR MISSION

The Property Tax Justice Foundation exists to educate, empower, and impact homeowners through greater understanding of the property tax valuation and protest systems, helping them confidently challenge inaccurate assessments while advancing fair, transparent, and accountable property taxation practices.

OUR VISION

A Texas free from property taxes — and until then, a Texas where no homeowner loses their home because they did not know how to challenge an unfair or inaccurate property tax assessment.

MASS APPRAISALis efficient. It’s NOT PRECISE.

Your Property Has a Story.
We Help You Tell It.

Grounded in Law • Guided by Process • Focused on Property Owners

Why This Matters

The notice arrives.

You open the envelope and discover the value is higher than you expected.

Questions quickly follow.

You search online, talk to friends and neighbors, and find no shortage of opinions. Some information is helpful. Some is outdated. Some is simply wrong.

Most property owners are not property tax experts, yet every year they are expected to navigate deadlines, procedures, evidence requirements, and legal standards that can significantly affect what they pay in property taxes.

Many do nothing because they do not understand the process. Others file a protest but are unsure what evidence matters, how hearings work, or how to respond when challenged.

The issue is rarely a lack of information.

The issue is understanding which information matters and how to apply it effectively.

That is why the Property Tax Justice Foundation exists.
To educate, empower, and create meaningful impact by helping property owners become informed, prepared participants in the process.

How We Help

Every property owner’s situation is different. Some want help building their evidence. Others want coaching. Others want someone to handle it for them.

The Property Tax Justice Foundation offers three levels of service — clearly defined, fairly priced, and designed to meet you where you are.

LEVEL 1

Strategic Evidence Analysis

$75

We research and prepare a customized evidence strategy for your property — comparable sales, equity analysis, and supporting data — so you walk into your hearing armed with strong facts, not easily disregarded.

Best for: Property owners who need strong evidence but will represent themselves at the ARB.

LEVEL 2

Property Tax Advisory

$125

You get the evidence package plus personalized coaching — a one-on-one session based on the specific factors impacting your property, where we walk through your case, explain the process, help you understand what to say, and prepare you to present with confidence.

Best for: Property owners who want to be prepared and coached before their hearing.

LEVEL 3

Professional Representation

$150 + 25% of tax savings

We handle everything. Research, evidence preparation, and full ARB representation — you don’t have to take a day off work or walk into a hearing alone. PTJF represents your property from start to finish.

Best for: Property owners who want experienced, professional representation handling their case.

* $150 covers a traditional residential property. Properties with unique features, complex issues, or special circumstances will be reviewed individually and quoted before any work begins — no surprises.

Meet Kimberly Jones

Educator · Advocate · REALTOR® · Licensed Texas Property Tax Consultant

Kimberly Jones, Founder of Property Tax Justice Foundation

The Property Tax Justice Foundation was founded by Kimberly Jones after seeing firsthand how difficult the property tax system can be for the average property owner to understand.

Throughout her career as an educator, advocate, and REALTOR®, Kim has spent more than two decades helping people navigate important decisions affecting their homes, families, and futures.

Her service on the Appraisal Review Board provided a unique opportunity to observe the property tax protest process from inside the hearing room. She saw property owners arrive frustrated, confused, and often unprepared — not because they lacked intelligence or concern, but because they lacked guidance concerning how the system worked and what information actually mattered.

Kim recognized that many property owners were searching for answers but often encountered conflicting opinions, incomplete information, and advice that was not grounded in the laws, procedures, and standards governing the process.

The Property Tax Justice Foundation was created to help bridge that gap.

Today, the Foundation works to educate, empower, and create meaningful impact by helping property owners better understand the appraisal and protest process and become informed participants in decisions affecting their property rights.

Because every property has a story.
And every property owner deserves the opportunity to understand how that story fits within the process.

Growing Impact Across Texas
